From his trajectory in the instrumental field to his incursion into composition and orchestra conducting, Eddie Mora's path has been a constant artistic evolution. Maestro Mora stands out as a contemporary artist, whose multiple artistic projects have set the pace both nationally and internationally.<\/p>

He recently made his debut as a conductor and composer at the prestigious Kammermusiksaal of the\u00a0 Berliner Philharmonie\u00a0<\/b>in a musical project dedicated to \u201dGuernica\u00bb<\/em> by Pablo Picasso.\u00a0<\/p>

He currently serves as artistic director of the Heredia Symphony Orchestra (OSH) and as a professor at the School of Musical Arts of the Universidad de Costa Rica.<\/p>

In 2017, he received the Latin GRAMMY\u00ae<\/strong> Award as a conductor. \nthe \u201cCarlos Enrique Vargas\u201d<\/strong> National Award<\/strong> in 2018 and 2022 in the category of Orchestra Conducting, granted by the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica.<\/p>

His catalog of musical compositions totals nearly ninety works.<\/p>

As guest conductor, Eddie Mora has participated with various orchestras in Latin America, the United States, Spain, Germany and Russia.<\/p>

His recordings, as composer and director, include more than thirty productions.<\/p>

In 2017, he received the Latin GRAMMY\u00ae<\/strong> as conductor, along with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica for the \u201cBest Classical Music Album\u201d. He has also been honored with the National Award \u201cBest Classical Music Album\u201d. \u00abCarlos Enrique Vargas\u00bb<\/strong> in 2018 and 2022 in the category of Orchestra Conducting, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica.<\/p>

As guest conductor he has participated with the Chamber Orchestra of W\u00fcrttemberg - Heilbronn Germany, the German ensembles Lux Nova - Sinfonietta Vivazza, with the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Costa Rica,\u00a0<\/span>Russian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, Moscow,\u00a0<\/span>the Autonomous University of New Mexico Symphony Orchestra (OSUANM),\u00a0<\/span>the Carlos Ch\u00e1vez Symphony Orchestra, the Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra (OCBA), the Guanajuato University Symphony Orchestra (OSUG), the Oaxaca Symphony Orchestra (OSO), the Boca del R\u00edo Philharmonic (OFBR),\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra,\u00a0<\/span>the University of South Dakota Orchestra,\u00a0<\/span>the Minot Symphony Orchestra in North Dakota,\u00a0<\/span>la Banda de Conciertos de San Jos\u00e9 y la Banda de Conciertos de Cartago entre otros.<\/span><\/p>

Resident Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica (OSN) in the period 2014 - 2015. With this group he recorded in audio the following recordings\u00a0\u00ab<\/span>M\u00fasica de compositores costarricenses \u2013 Vol. I \u00a0y Vol. II<\/span>\u00bb<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and \u201cBenjam\u00edn Guti\u00e9rrez, his music\u201d.<\/strong> in a double album.\u00a0<\/span>Guest director and artist in residence at The University of South Dakota (2018 - United States).<\/span><\/p>

Mora has participated in different contemporary music festivals, among them the V Leo Brouwer Festival, the Moscow Autumn in Russia, the Havana Festival, the I Latin American Composition Workshop (UNEAC - Casa de las Am\u00e9ricas \/ Cuba), special guest of the XXXI Foro de M\u00fasica Nueva - Manuel Enr\u00edquez in Mexico, the CDMC in Madrid, the Latin American Music Festival in Venezuela, the I Congreso Puertorrique\u00f1o de Creaci\u00f3n Musical, the Fiesta Iberoamericana de las Artes (Puerto Rico), the V Festival de M\u00fasica Contempor\u00e1nea de Morelia and the Festival Darwin Vargas (Chile).\u00a0<\/p>

In 2018 he recorded with the Banda de Conciertos de San Jos\u00e9 (BCSJ). \u00abPunto de encuentro\u00bb<\/strong>In 2009, with the Russian Radio and Television Orchestra, he recorded one of his works for the recording project of the Spanish label Verso, which released in 2010 a monographic album entitled Eddie Mora - Chamber Music<\/strong>both productions are part of the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>prestigious\u00a0<\/span>BBVA collection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Quartz Music record label in England released a second monographic album, with its three string quartets<\/strong> performed by the Cuarteto Latinoamericano, \u201cSula'\u201d with the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Heredia and \u201cBocetos a Yolanda\u201d with the Ensamble Contempor\u00e1neo Universitario (ECU).\u00a0<\/span>With the Ensamble Contempor\u00e1neo Universitario (ECU) and the Carthage Concert Band, he recorded a record production entitled\u00a0<\/span>\u00abPERPETUMM\u00bb<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Member of the Colegio de Compositores de M\u00fasica de Arte, founder of the Instituto de Investigaciones en Arte (IIARTE) at the Facultad de Artes, as well as of the Seminario de Composici\u00f3n Musical (SCM). Founder of the Ensamble Contempor\u00e1neo Universitario (ECU) at the Escuela de Artes Musicales, where he teaches.<\/p>

He served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Costa Rica (2007 - 2015).\u00a0<\/p>

As a composer he has been recognized on several occasions with the \u201cAquileo J. Echeverr\u00eda\u201d National Prize in Composition, the \u201cACAM\u201d Prize (Association of Composers and Musical Authors) of Costa Rica and the \u201c\u00c1ncora\u201d Musical Prize (La Naci\u00f3n).<\/p>
